Zoraida Soza is the current coordinator for Mujer y Comunidad, an IPM supported organization that works for and with women in a rural zone of Nicaragua.  She has worked adamantly over the years to fight for women's equality and to advocate against the silening and oppression of women worldwide.  "My mission is to work with and for the recognition of women, to assure that women are not silenced or marginalized, and to help women recognize their value and importance."  Under Zoraida's leadership, members of Mujer y Comunidad have worked to improve the quality of healthcare to women and children by producing and selling natural medicines and educating women about basic healthcare for both themselves and their children.  Zoraida visited the USA in November 2007 as a speaker for IPM's Speakers Circle.
