Jim Kamphoefner is the godson of Jim Mayer, one of IPM's co-founders, and currently works as a Foreign Exchange Option Specialist at Bank of America, San Francisco, CA, advising large corporations on foreign exchange hedging and risk management.  Jim's previous positions include economic and financial market research at First National Bank of Chicago and at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, Missouri, USA.  As a recognized pricing and risk managment expert, Jim is frequently invited to conduct seminars, conferences, and other teaching engagements.  Jim earned his Bachelors in Economics and Public Policy from Michigan State University, and a Masters in Economics from Northwestern.

Outside of work, Jim remains active with the music and education programs at Marin Lutheran Church, in Marin County, and he sings in 3 additional choirs.  He and his wife, Bev, reside in San Rafael, CA.
