Rufina Simiyu lives in Nairobi, Kenya. Rufina has been an active member of the Sub-Saharan Africa Advisory Council for 2 years and was recently elected as its Chair. A civil servant (not elected) in the Nairobi Provincial Government, she is the Provincial Director of Social Services for the Ministry of Gender, Sports, Culture & Social Services. She is actively involved in IPM’s Immersion Experiences to Kenya and Project site visits. In addition, she was a presenter at the 2003 Technical Assistance Training Workshop in Kenya facilitated by IPM.
